with version 2.0 released in June 2013, they promise more ‘awesomeness’ along with a larger array of features. The large ‘nearby’ button pulls down data of what’s close to you, whether you seek a restaurant, a hotel, or convenience store. Call it location-based mapping if you like, I’ll call it awesome.
On the map, each number corresponds with a listing – the name and reviews pop-up when you tap on one, and more information pops up (some in Thai only). There’s also the opportunity to have Apple Maps create directions for you. If this sounds like an Asian combination of Yelp and Foursquare, you’re not alone. That said, it covers plenty of points of interest all across Thailand and Bangkok – more, I dare say, than Google Maps. It’s well worth the download, and again offers plenty of social features for your perusal.
