4.2. Nature of the PERS statement
From the analysis of the case studies, it was found that most of the
PERS reports included: description of the plans (includes programs),
baseline environment, scoping, identification of alternatives, prediction
of impacts, mitigation and monitoring etc. As such, the Korean
PERS report looks similar to those of other countries where SEA
is being implemented (Glasson et al., 2005; Dalal-Clayton & Sadler,
2005). The details of the PERS reports analyzed in the study are briefly
explained in Table 7.
