The sampling was performed by collecting 7 kg of fly ash at the fabric filter, before its discharge in a storage
tower, at intervals of 4 h over the course of 48 h, thusenabling collection of a final sample of
85 kg.
This sample was taken as representative of the APC residue generated by this facility in agreement with their own
control analysis. Afterwards, a representative subsample (about 5 kg) was obtained by quartering the at room temperature, under N2 atmosphere avoiding lime carbonation.
