This paper gives general background

This paper gives general background of the biomass energy (including biogas) in
Thailand. Biomass resource potential is analyzed and discussed. Biomass energy
promotion programs in the past have been reviewed. Barriers to the promotion of the
biomass energy and lessons learnt are also presented together with suggestions for policy
change to accelerate the utilization of biomass energy.
