Clarity
Based on our experiences with the Objet Eden260V, we have found that the clarity of 3D printed optical elements currently
depends on several factors. Model Thickness: thicker models tend to lose optical clarity and appear increasingly cloudy.
Print Direction: the greatest clarity is seen when looking perpendicular to the printed layers, looking parallel to the
printed layers appears blurrier. UV Exposure: Overexposure to UV light during the curing process can cause a loss in optical
clarity, making the model appear yellow in color. Surface Quality: greater clarity can be achieved with extra sanding
steps during the finishing process.
