is serving his first term in the Albany County Legislature as the representative of residents of the 36th Legislative District. The district consists of the southern portion of the Town of Bethlehem including Selkirk, South Bethlehem, a section of Glenmont and part of the Town of Coeymans.
He has over 30 years of business experience, starting with the Auditing firm of Ernst & Young, then moving on to management positions with the Times Mirror Company, and its subsidiaries, Los Angeles Times, Denver Post and Matthew Bender and Company. Before retiring, Rich served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for a national distributor of safety products. He is a small business owner providing consulting services. Rich has taught Adult Education programs for the Bethlehem, South Colonie, Ravena and Scotia-Glenville school districts.
