The proforma shows 30 days because that is the default value we have on our accounting system. However I have asked Nigel to stress that you will be on CIA terms with us in the beginning as we have to create some transaction history in order for our insurance provider to cover our export goods. My apologies if this had not been made clear. Giving credit upfront will not be acceptable for our insurance company.
We export and import goods in volume therefore we need to have an insurance provider that is able to cover all our goods.
I'm happy to look at credit terms after we have gone through several transactions as those are the conditions we need to adhere to with our insurance company. This is how we treat all our customers in Asia. The other option we accept is through an LC, but with that arrangement usually you are talking in the amount of 50k and above and a whole lot of processing fees.
Hope this clarifies things for you.
