I have been asked to send this email to explain what happened when I attended an appointment on Saturday 21 December 2013.
I had an appointment to see Dr. Hathairat, Dermatology Department, at 11.15 am (An appointment date and time that the hospital gave me - even sending me a text message reminder on Friday 20th, not to be late). I arrived at the hospital at 11.00 am, handed in my appointment slip, had my temperature and blood pressure taken and was asked to take a seat and wait. At 12.15 pm I had still not been seen by the Doctor and I could not wait any longer. I went to the desk and told them I was leaving - possibly going to another hospital in future.
I understand that the Doctor may have had a genuine reason for not being able to see me at 11.15 am as arranged, but what annoys me and why I am complaining is that, in the one hour plus that I waited, no one came to tell me the Doctor was running late or otherwise busy and offering me the choice to stay and wait or to arrange another appointment. I was simply ignored and this was wrong.
