In today’s world of information overload, it is very easy to find “information” quickly, especially online. A good journalist, however, must never publish any facts, data or information without first verifying them as accurate. Regardless of the size, scope and audience of a story, always report with the goal of 100 percent accuracy of all facts,
quotes and ideas presented. Do not stop reporting when you are tired or bored, stop when there is nothing left to be uncovered or said. An important part of the truth is understanding the context in which events and issues occur. Nothing happens in a vacuum.
