Extraction of sucrose from date fruit samples
As sucrose is soluble in water, to extract it from the date fruits a
classical extraction method was used. 15 g of date slices were dissolved
in 50 ml of distilled water and the mixture stirred for 1 h
[26]. It was then filtered through Whatman filter paper 40 and
the filtrate diluted up to 100 ml using distilled water.
