Reporting to the Logistics Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
•Marine asset follow up : develop , organise and support the implementation of the Marine asset follow up
•Marine equipment /material follow up (Base and offshore) : Develop and follow a thorough inventory of all marine equipment/material
•Vessels follow up (QHSE – Operations):◦Vessel daily and monthly follow up
◦Certificates/permits/licenses of vessels follow up
•Vessel selections / Audit ◦Develop and implement the vessel selection matrix
◦Implement vessel audit check list (company onhire / offhire survey-audit)
◦Ensure best value for service of vessels under hire or to be hired
•Vessel Fuel consumption monitoring
•Identify and implement methods to optimize / reduce fuel consumption
•Towing operations follow up◦Ensure towing operations are in compliance with the operational procedures.
◦Ensure all persons involved in towing operations are competent.
•Vessel near miss / incident / accident follow up
•Vessel tender
•FSO / FPSO◦Provide support (technical / experience / engineering) for FSO / FPSO operations in MPTL
◦Provide support on operational and/or contractual issues that would improve / enhance the operation impact to MPTL
•Provide oversight / guidance on class inspections / maintenance of class of FSO / FPSO
•Helicopter Offshore operation follow up
•Aircraft Contract ◦Maintenance of existing contract to meet or exceed contractual obligations
◦Monitoring and budgeting of aviation costs
◦Ensuring aircraft availability meets / exceeds contractual obligations
◦Development and evaluation of bid tender for renewal / extension of services
•Health, Safety and Environment◦Participate in HSE meetings
◦Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, quality and environment management policies, procedures and controls of both MP and contractor. Promote employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality services and a responsive safety/environment culture.
•Continuous improvement◦Conduct root cause analysis of problems impacting marine equipment / vessels. Where possible, identify better equipment / vessel which will improve the performance / costing of existing equipment / vessel.
◦Recommend suggested changes to maintenance planning to improve maintenance productivity
◦Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
