Information was an important aspect of parents experiences making decisions for their infants This theme encompasses the information provided parents by healthcare providers about their infants condition, prognosis, and possible treatments. Parents differed on the amount of information they preferred, as well as their experiences in obtaining information about their infants condition. Some parents wanted all information to be provided to them: "My view is that it is better to know:" Possibly your child problem, and has a therefore we are going to give you
physiotherapy from day one (Alderson et al., 2006. p. 1326). Other parents wanted to be spared all of the details because they felt that knowing all of the possibilities would be stressful.
