Wesley P. Grose, Assistant Director, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, Scientific Services Bureau
Mr. Grose has been an Assistant Director for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department since 2006, managing a variety of areas during that time which included the general operations of the lab (budget and personnel), Questioned Documents, Digital Imaging, Toxicology, Controlled Substances, and Blood Alcohol units. From 2010 to 2012 he served on the White House Interagency Working Group for Standards, Practices, and Protocols which was tasked with addressing the main issues identified in the 2009 National Academy of Sciences report on Forensic Sciences. He recently completed a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the California Association of Crime Laboratory Directors where he served as President, and he is currently the President of the Southwestern Association of Forensic Document Examiners.
