We also noted that the contents of fructose and glucose at 15 d after anthesis declined rapidly, which were perhaps caused by the photosynthetic capacity and the plant physical consumption. However, in S. chmielewskii fruit, hexose content had no obvious fluctuation but sucrose content suddenly increased at mature period. In other words, sucrose in S. chmielewskii fruit was the main carbohydrate accumulation form and hexose in Micro-Tom fruit was largely accumulated after fruit ripening, respectively.
