Hi Peter
Sorry I haven't replied before now, but it's manic at work, what with deadlines for a couple of big projects and software problems to deal with as well. You asked about ways of reducing your fuel bills. Well, I think the experts agree that the most effective first step is to insulate your loft-you're losing a lot of heat though the roof if you don't. If you've already got a layer of traditional mineral or glass wool insulation, If you've already got a layer of traditional mineral or glass wool insulation, then leave it; it's not ideal, but getting rid of it is a hazardous process. But if your loft hasn't any insulation at all, than we recommend you use one of the more natural alternatives, like wool, hemp, waste newspaper or waste cotton. They'll last for decades and won't harm the environment or your family. Whatever you use, there should be about 25 cm, or 10 inches, of insulation. Sounds thick, doesn't it? But you need it that thick to do the job. If you want to know more about these ‘greener' products, just let me know and I can send you some leaflets or give you a few website addresses,so you can do your own research. Hope all's well with the family. We may be seeing you over New Year, Rosie tells me.
All the best
Graham
