Follow up assessment
Data collection in the postpartum period was conducted
by 14 trained assessors. Most of the interviews (72%) were
conducted face to face in women’s homes; the other 28%
were conducted by telephone due to difficulties in reaching
participants in their homes. The postpartum interview
lasted between 30 to 50 minutes. In addition to the
PSS-10, it included a depression scale, and anxiety scale
and questions about general health, mental health, the
health of the baby, and social support.
