2.6. Turn-Angle Distribution Analysis based on turn angles crosscorrelation
In our previous work on shape analysis for fish species recognition, a new technique was developed for rapid shape analysis and matching (Lee et al., 2008). The contour data set is characterized by a fast and accurate shape matching method called Turn-Angle Distribution Analysis (TADA) that allows the contour of a test image to be matched against the reference contours to determine the best match. The TADA approach significantly improves shape-matching accuracy and is modified and adapted for oyster shape grading.
