Beth Henry and her husband, Rich Stephens, created a low maintenance backyard garden for their home in Charlotte. A ground-level deck covers most of the backyard, providing a safe play area for children and eliminating the need for mowing. The garden is separated from a driveway with a lattice fence, and 2 undeveloped areas are used for a children's pool and a swing set, sandpile, and vegetable garden.
