This research work was completed in two phases. In the first phase, a survey was conducted, for determining the nature and frequency of pesticide currently being used. Only those farmers were interviewed who have at least 3 acres for cultivation. As such structured questionnaire will developed to collect information from the farmers about their, knowledge of the adverse health effects of pesticides, work practices related to the pesticide use, use of protective measures and also about an inventory of pesticides used on the farm On the bases of the questionnaire, the Organophosphorus pesticide for further study was selected.
