The permeate flux along the osmotic evaporation process is shown
in Fig. 3. The fluxes were significantly lower than those obtained in
the reverse osmosis process, ranging from 1.55 L h−1 m−2 to
0.01 L h−1 m−2. Similar fluxes were observed by Pagani et al.
(2011), Vaillant et al. (2005) and Cissé, Vaillant, Perez, Dornier, and
Reynes (2005), in the osmotic evaporation of acerola, melon, and orange
juices, respectively.
